Golf Outings Don't Have to Be Ordinary

Golf outings are something I do on a regular basis.  It is really difficult to come with unique centerpieces using golf balls, tees or grass.

This particular golf outing was a husband and wife tournament.  I decided to create something memorable for them.

As the story goes... another man's trash is another man's treasure.  True!  I dug 24 old golf clubs out of the trash a long time ago.  For this particular event, I finally brought them out of storage and decided to weld three of them together for a table top arrangement.  You will have to remove some of the chrome on the golf club in order to make the weld.  It is a little tricky, but totally reusable time and time again.

By having a tripod it supported the floral arrangements plus it allowed people to see across the table but yet providing a dramatic centerpiece that the ladies can take home. or act as one of the prizes.  Total cost $100.00 for the flowers.  A lot more interesting than a bowl of tees.

And finally, if you are going to make a big show of the centerpiece, then do the same with the menu.  Get away from the NY Strips and the chicken.
